Program Structure & Curriculum
The MBBS program at Jiujiang University spans a duration of 5 + 1 Years (6 Years total). It is meticulously designed to parallel international medical standards, making the transition to exams like PMDC NRE, USMLE, and PLAB seamless.
The first five years encompass rigorous theoretical studies and pre-clinical practicals in subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).
The Internship Year (6th Year)
The final year is entirely dedicated to a mandatory rotating clinical internship. Students have two distinct choices:
- Internship at JJU Affiliated Hospitals: Students complete their rotations in modern Chinese hospitals, gaining exposure to a vast diversity of clinical cases under the direct supervision of senior consultants.
- Outside China Internship: Students opting to complete their internship in their home country (e.g., Pakistan) or elsewhere must pay an additional 5,000 RMB to the university for degree evaluation, administrative processing, and credential verification.
